The Ann Arbor T-shirt Company is composed of around 48 artists, screen printers, art technicians, logistics professionals, embroiderers, and support staff, all operating out of Ann Arbor, Michigan. We proudly design, print, and embroider the majority of our products completely in our Ann Arbor, MI factory.

The company originated as a dorm room project between two friends at the University of Michigan. What sets our products apart is our commitment to fair wages, healthcare, 401k matches, and catered employee lunches for our workers. We source our machines, inks, and most inputs from within the U.S., and our shirts are mostly made of U.S.-grown cotton. Producing in-house allows us to maintain high-quality standards while keeping prices low.

We love what we do because we enjoy giving people fun ways to express themselves and strike up conversations with their neighbors. Our shirts feature a variety of designs, including a retro Southwest UFO poster on a vintage-style blend tee.

Regarding the product details, the shirt is made of a 90% cotton, 10% polyester blend and is machine washable. The design was drawn and screen printed (silk-screened) with pride by our skilled illustrators and printers in Ann Arbor. The tagless tag is printed on the fabric inside the collar, so you can't feel it.

The fit of the shirt is a modern, slightly tapered style, a little less boxy than the old mass-market t-shirt design. We recommend going one size larger if you're unsure, as the shirt is pre-shrunk but may still shrink slightly in the wash. The fabrics used are a ringspun, 30/1 fine jersey knit, with 50% U.S.-grown cotton and 50% polyester for a vintage heather look. The inks used are high-quality QCM screen printing inks, manufactured in North Carolina, and are vibrant, durable, and highly crack-resistant.
